HOW FAASIK WORK IS ORGANISED

In order to execute its mandate and core functions, the Organization is currently organized into three core departments namely:

  1. DEPARTMENT OF PLWHIV AND OVCS DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT
  2. DEPARTMENT OF OUTREACH PROGRAMS
  3. DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL SERVICES

The departments are supported by General Administration and Planning.

The organization has also developed eight thematic areas to guide its effort towards the achievement of its mission and vision. The strategic themes include: prevention and control of HIV and AIDS; plwhiv and ovcs Employment, Empowerment Participation; plwhiv Education and Training; lobbying and advocacy; plwhiv and ovcs, and Health; Leisure, Recreation and Community empowerment and exchange programmes

Resource mobilization is critical to the implementation of the Strategic Plan. Estimates of the resources required to implement the Plan have been provided after costing activities, projects and programmes. It emerges that close to Kshs. I617019 billion is required.

To ensure value for money, the organization will put in place an effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System to monitor and evaluate the implementation progress of all its projects and programs. The M&E will provide the review and control element necessary for the achievement of strategic objectives. An implementation matrix has also been developed to assist in tracking the progress.
